Phaser 8500 Ink's Unique Solid Design
When looking for a printer for an office network, the Xerox Phaser 8500 and 8550 are great options. This set of printers pick up data quickly, prints pages fast, and hook up well to most networks. What is most appealing about these printers, however, is the use of Phaser 8500 inks, which are unique in their solid ink design and high quality.
The options available in Phaser printers should be known. Four versions of the 8500/8550 printers are available with different prices and qualities. All of them except 8500/N print two sides of the papers. 8550/DX which is a higher end model offer high resolution and can hold and print large stacks of paper. Printing speed is also good. Lower end printers print around 24 pages per minute while the higher ones can reach up to 30 pages per minute
Another similar printer that is suitable for home or small office use is the Phaser 8650 model. It supports fewer options than 8500/8550 models, specifically in terms of lower resolution and reduced output. But Phaser 8560 ink is based on the same technology as Xerox's more advanced options. On the plus side, this printer costs less than the 8500 series printers.
As stated earlier, Phaser 8500 ink is what truly sets these printers apart. Xerox is the only company to develop and provide solid ink for their printers that prints in a single pass. This single pass technology prevents the misalignment of the four ink colors that is commonly seen in traditional printers. This also cuts down on printing time, as traditional printers require several passes, one for each ink color.
Layering within an ink cartridge can lead to inconsistent and unprofessional-looking documents. Solid inks, like the Xerox 8560 cartridge, avoid this problem. They also can produce brighter colors due to greater saturation, and present fewer problems when the cartridge must be disposed of.
Phaser 8500 and Phaser 8560 inks are more expensive than other printer inks. However, brokers and other discounters can save their customers up to $150 from list price for a full cartridge set, allowing offices and individuals needing to print documents to do so at reasonable cost. These discounters are avialable online and in brick-and-mortar shops.
The Xerox 8500, 8550, and 8560 Phaser printers are a first-class choice for a variety of printing requirements. The distinct Xerox toner used by the Phaser models make it a good alternative for either home or office. The solid ink toner produces high quality print output. The 8500 series printers are a cost effective printing solution.
The Xerox Phaser printers 8500 and 8550 come in four versions each. Except 8500/N, they can print two-sided documents. Higher end models give higher resolution and print faster. Another printer, Phaser 8560 is intended for home and small office use. All use solid ink that prints on a single pass and resists color separation and layering within the cartridge, thus creating more consistent color throughout the life of Xerox 8550 Toner cartridge. Phaser 8500 Ink and Phaser 8560 Ink are used in them for consistency and high print quality. The inks are available online and at discount stores at prices lower by as much as 150 dollars a set.
