How To Do Hair - Easy French Twist

by Jessica A

Would you like to know how to style your hair or your daughter's hair into a French twist? It's a good idea to learn how to do hair in a French twist, because it definitely has advantages. It is a truly lovely and elegant style.

Classy enough to be worn to the prom or a dinner party, and casual enough to wear with jeans, the French twist is just gorgeous. It is also easy maintenance because once it is up you can wear it for the whole day without needing to re-do your hair over and over again.

First, you will gather your hair in to a simple pony tail. Look in the mirror and be sure you like the way your hair frames your face. A few wisps her and there can actually be a nice touch.

Next, hold your pony tail up in the air and begin to twist it. It doesn't matter which way, but two or three revolutions should have your head beginning to feel the pressure of the twist.

After this, fold the now-twisted pony tail in half. Use a pony tail holder to secure the bottom part of the twist. Now the middle of the twist should be positioned just at the base of your head.

Now comes the most challenging part of learning how to do hair in a French twist. You need to twist this halved pony tail again a few more times.

You'll get the hang of it after you practice a few times. You will twist it, and then pin it to your head with your hand.

Now you secure the twist to your head with several bobby pins. If you push the pins in just where the twist meets the hair on your head, you'll be able to hide the pins more effectively.

If no one is helping you, then hold up a small hand mirror before your face so that you can check the way the back of your hair looks in the bathroom mirror behind you.

When you are satisfied that you have learned how to do hair in a French twist, and you like the look, spray some holding spray and voila! You are set.
